Welcome back to year 6. This is a very exciting time as you are now the oldest children in the school. Along with this goes extra responsibilities and year 6 pupils are now role models for the other children in the school.
In year 6, all children have the opportunity to apply for the position of House Captains or Sports Captains. The children
who apply give a presentation explaining why they would like this role and they are then elected democratically by the other pupils. Elections also take place for class representatives for school council, eco warriors, worship committee and SNAG.
There will also be other responsibilities such as librarians and digital leaders.
In October, pupils in year 6 are able to take part in the pilgrimage to Westminster Abbey to celebrate St Edward’s Day.

At the end of the year, year 6 pupils have the chance to go to PGL for five days, where they will be able to take part in great
range of exciting activities.
Some important information:
The teachers in year 6 are Mrs Goldstein (6G), Miss Sillett (6S) and Mr Greenwell (6DG).
Our PE afternoon is on a Wednesday.
Please make sure that your child’s full PE kit is in school and is named, and ensure that their swimming kits come into
school on the correct day.
