Breakfast and Afterschool Club
We are pleased to offer a Breakfast and Afterschool Club here at St Edward’s, providing wraparound care for children across the school.
At Breakfast Club children are provided with a breakfast where they can choose from a selection of cereal, toast, yoghurt, fruit and a drink.
At After School Club we provide a choice of a hot snack meal such as pasta, chicken nuggets, pizza or a cold choice of sandwiches and wraps.
Club Times and Pricing
Breakfast Club: 7:30am – 8:35am (no admission after 8.20 am) (£5.50 per session) Children arriving after 7.30am should be accompanied to the school hall.
Afterschool Club: 3:20pm – 5:55pm (£11.00 per session) Children should be collected from the school hall (or nursery on a Friday).
Availability
Our wraparound care is available to all children aged 3 to 11 years old, including those in our Nursery. We do however, have an expectation that children who attend the club need to be able to operate independently.
Parents or carers of children who have additional needs should speak with our Inclusion Team before booking a place for the child as our provision may not be suitable for them.
Nursery Child Requirements
To ensure a safe and suitable environment for all, nursery children must meet the following criteria:
- Be over the age of 3
- Be fully independent in using the toilet (no nappies or pull-ups)
- Be signed off by the nursery staff as ready to attend the club
As the club includes children from across the school, we ask that nursery children attend school for a few weeks first. This gives our nursery staff time to assess their readiness and confidence in joining a mixed-age setting.
Booking and Payment
Once all requirements have been met, your child will be added to our Parentpay booking system. You will then be able to log in, book and pay for sessions as needed.
We also accept payments through the Government’s Tax-Free Childcare Scheme. If you would prefer to use this method please allow 5 business days before booking to allow for the processing of the payment. If you have any booking or payment questions, please get in touch: finance@stedwardsva.net
If a place has not been pre-booked, we cannot guarantee that a child can attend as numbers are limited due to our Staff:Child ratio.
