Best of Luck Year 6!
So here we are: the time has come,
The SATs are finally here.
You’ve knuckled down, you’ve worked so hard,
The evidence is clear.
The SPaG, maths and reading papers,
Are just snippets of what you know.
They can’t see that you’re bilingual,
Or how far that you can throw.
They don’t focus on how kind you are,
Or how you see when someone’s low.
They don’t look at how you hug your friends,
To help their confidence grow.
The SATs don’t measure progress,
They don’t see how incredible you are.
Even though you’ve found it hard,
Through perseverance, you’ve come so far.
So when you sit down and pick up a pen,
And sit in front of that test.
Remember: this doesn’t define you,
Just try your very best!
At St Edward’s we are proud of you,
No matter what you score.
The SATs are just a journey,
That the whole country must endure.
This week we send you all our love,
The St Edward’s community cares.
We hope you know how loved you are,
You’re in our thoughts and prayers.
