'Local Legends' of Havering's past
On Wednesday, the year 6 students went to Romford Library, for a presentation about the 'Local Legends' of Havering's past for our history unit. This gave us more information so we can decide which person to commemorate as a school. It was fascinating that St Edward's school and church were mentioned so many times. Who did you choose to commemorate: Roger Reede, Sir Anthony Cooke, John Laurie or Alfred Bennett Bamford??? Also a huge thank you to Simon Donoghue from the library's Local Studies department who gave the presentation, it was truly fascinating.
