Merry Christmas & A very happy New Year!
Here we are at the end of a long term. It is the first time we have done a 'full' term together in some time! This week has truly been a wonderful way to finish too, with excellent Christmas celebrations reminding us of the 'reason for season' as we head into the busyness of Christmas. All of the events, and our 'staff Christmas video' are available on our school Facebook page. We have also raised a significant amount of money for three charities (Save the Children, Home for Good & Stand by Me), the exact figures we will share in the new year.
I would like to extend my thanks to each and every member of staff in our school community who work tirelessly for our children, giving their time, hearts and full commitment to their work. We are so fortunate to have such a skilled staff team, who care deeply about our children and the school.
As you will know, we are in changing times and the school leadership team and I have been asked to 'be prepared' for a number of different scenarios for January. As always, we will contact parents before the start of term with any key information, news or updates if needed. During the school holidays, our school email account, firstname.lastname@example.org , will be checked periodically if you need any support or advice.
We return to school on Tuesday 4th January. Children will be swimming as normal during this week and will resume their PE lessons too.
Can I finish by thank you for your support, encouragement and prayers that you have given us in abundance this term. A big 'Thank You', from all staff, for your kind gifts this week too. It truly is such a privilege to be part of a special community, our St Edward's family. This Christmas may you experience the joy of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds and the peace of the Christ child in all you do, as we celebrate the precious gift of Emmanuel, God with us, at this time.
Stay safe and see you all soon,
