Weekly News
What a wonderful first week back we have had! It has been a pleasure to welcome everyone back into school after the Christmas break. The children have returned settled, positive and ready to learn, which has been lovely to see.
Curriculum
The children have enjoyed getting stuck into their new topics for this half term, which include prehistoric art, ancient Egyptians, volcanoes and electricity, to name just a few!

Collective Worship
In collective worship this week, we have focused on New Year’s resolutions and the opportunities a new year brings to make a fresh start. It has been wonderful to see the children putting this into practice through the way they have embodied our school values in their behaviour around school. Today, we held our weekly celebration assemblies, which are always a highlight. Please do visit our Facebook page to see our ‘Stars of the Week’.
Uniform
We have had a strong focus on uniform standards this week. Thank you for your continued support in ensuring children come to school looking smart and wearing the correct school uniform. Our full uniform list can be found on our website.
Breakfast and After School Club
Our Breakfast and After School Club are very popular and spaces limited. To avoid disappointment, if you wish to use this service, please make sure that you have made your booking and payment in advance via Parentpay.
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons have resumed this week. We are very fortunate to be able to maintain our own swimming pool here at St Edward's. Voluntary contributions towards the maintenance of our pool are always greatly appreciated. If you are able to contribute you can do so via Parentpay.
Extra-Curricular Opportunities
We will be sending out our clubs timetable for the Spring term next week, so keep a look out for this. As always, there is a fantastic range of clubs on offer.
