Weekly News
Dear Parents/Carers,
Here we are at the end of another busy week! There have been many fantastic opportunities for learning, including trips to the cinema and to see a performance at the Barbican.
On Monday, we marked Remembrance Day in school. Our children showed our school value of 'reverence and respect' excellently in the way they listened to and reflected on the stories of many people involved in fighting, who by their sacrifice ensured our freedom. On Tuesday we had 'Odd Sock Day' where we marked our 'Anti-Bullying week', thinking how we show friendship to others in our school and how we respond when we do not feel happy or safe. You can see photos from these, and many other things that have taken place, on our school Facebook page.
Please see below a few important reminders for the coming week:
Reception Applications
The window for applications for children to start in September 2025 is now open. As we were 'oversubscribed' last year, and we currently have more applications for our next cohort than at this point last year, we strongly encourage parents to ensure they complete their application and get their SIF form into the office as soon as possible, but definitely by the deadline of 15 January.
Christmas Raffle - Grand Prize Draw
Children have received tickets for our Grand Prize Draw, as part of our Christmas fundraising activities. Tickets are £1 each and should be returned to your child’s class teacher or the school office. Top prizes include a £250 Amazon voucher, £150 luxury hamper and £75 one4all voucher, however we have many more exciting toys and prizes available too. All money raised supports the school and the many wonderful opportunities that our children have access to.

We are really excited to invite you all to our Annual Christmas Fete. There will be lots of games and activities with many prizes to be won! Burgers and hot dogs will be available at the BBQ, along with mince pies, chocolate yule log and cakes too!
