As we reach the end of another term, we reflect on all that has been achieved. Although it has been the shortest term, it has been full of success and celebration. It has been a joy to see the children so engaged in their learning and making strong progress. Our extra-curricular clubs and wider personal development programme remain a real strength of the school. There have been many opportunities, including clubs, themed days and wider experiences across the term. Our school Facebook page continues to showcase these moments and celebrate school life.

Children—and staff—now have a well-deserved rest. We encourage families to use this time for healthy and enriching activities together. Reading each day with your child is especially valuable. It supports learning and provides important time together. For children in Years 3 and 4, spending a few minutes each day on Times Table Rock Stars is a positive use of screen time. With the improving weather, we also encourage families to spend time outdoors where possible.

Our Summer Term is already shaping up to be a busy and exciting one. A parent calendar is attached. Please note that dates may change at this early stage. We encourage you to continue reading weekly newsletters and checking the website for the most up-to-date information. Term dates are also available on the school website. Strong attendance is closely linked to high achievement. We are grateful for your continued partnership in ensuring children attend school regularly.

Please remember that children return after Easter wearing their Summer uniform. This includes blazers rather than their coats. Full information can be found on our website here

Over the Easter break, we will be launching our new school lunch menu. Please look out for this email and remember that you can order lunches online ahead of time.

During the school holiday, our email account (contact@stedwardsva.net) will be monitored. Please do get in touch if you need any help or support.

As we approach Easter, we remember that this is a time of hope, renewal and new life. In our Christian tradition, Easter reminds us that even after the darkest times, joy and new beginnings are possible. We hope this season brings peace, rest and happiness to you and your families. May it be a time to enjoy one another’s company and reflect on all that is good.

We wish you all a happy and blessed Easter and we look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Monday 13th April.

Kind regards,

Chris Speller
