Weekly Update
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you are all well and have had a positive week. It has been wonderful to settle into a new half-term at St Edward’s. This week, we have welcomed visitors from other schools and educational settings, eager to see our school in action. I have felt incredibly proud as they observed the strength of our community and the fantastic learning taking place.
Our new half-term is now well underway, with exciting new texts, topics, and enriching learning experiences for our children. A reminder that you can find knowledge organisers outlining what your child will be learning this term on the Curriculum page of our school website.
All key dates for this term are also available on the website, but here are some important updates:
World Book Day – Thursday, 6th March
We are excited to celebrate World Book Day with a range of fun activities, including a special competition for the children. Children are invited to dress up as their favourite book character. If you need help finding a costume, we may have some spare outfits available—please contact the school office if you require support.
Welcome to the Office Team!
We are delighted to welcome Mrs Lynch to our school office team this week. She is already a familiar face within our school community, as her daughter attends St Edward’s. Please do say hello and give her a warm welcome when you next visit the office.
Swimming
All children should wear a swimming hat when using our pool. Please make sure that your child does not forget their swimming hat on swim days as they will be unable to swim without one. Hats can be purchased via the Parentpay School Shop: https://app.parentpay.com/ParentPayShop/Uniform/Default.aspx?shopid=1081
Collecting Children from school
Please be reminded that all children should be collected from school from 3.10pm and no later than 3.20pm unless they are in a pre-booked club. Any child who is not collected by 3.20pm will go to our After School Club and a charge will apply.
Havering Local Offer for Children with SEND
Please see the attached letter for information regarding an online focus group for parents of children with SEND.
