I hope this email finds you well on this rather lovely Friday! We are now half-way through this half term- time is certainly flying! It has been fantastic to see the start of our Extra-Curricular activities this week. We have over 35 clubs on offer, including music, sport, languages and art, and there has been a really positive uptake from parents with these.
Next week is our Key Stage 2 SATS assessment week for Year 6 children. Please do keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they complete their end of primary school examinations, an opportunity for them to 'shine'. We remind our children regularly that they are not defined by results or outcomes and we are really proud of the children we grow at St Edward's. We look forward to enjoying their last few weeks, 'Post-SATs', with them.
It has been great to see our educational visits returning to normal as we are in 'Living with COVID' times. Year 4 had a fantastic visit to the Barbican this week and their behaviour and attitudes were a real credit to our school.
Please see important notices for this week below:
A reminder that our Jubilee Celebration will be taking place on Thursday 26th May from 2pm-6pm, with school finishing at 2pm so that children can attend. If you would like to help run one of the stalls/activities, or would like to run your own stall, please contact the school office.
A big 'Thank you' to parents who have made a donation towards this term's swimming provision. If you have not been able to yet, you can still so do via ParentPay.
School dinners, now at a cost of £2.37, can be purchased via the sQuid system online. Please remember to top up your accounts in advance of any purchase you may wish to make. Please send your child in with a packed lunch if there are no funds available on the account.
Have a lovely weekend.
