Here we are on the penultimate Friday of term! We have had a fantastic week in school with our Sports Day Activities. Not only have our children shown off their talents, they have demonstrated our school values of friendship and thankfulness brilliantly, celebrating each other’s achievements. We have also had another busy week with visits out of school: Year 2 had a lovely afternoon at the Infant Music Festival yesterday and Year 6 enjoyed the second of their trips to Havering-atte-Bower village on Wednesday.
On Monday, parents will receive their child's school report, results of any national tests they have undertaken and a letter explaining class teachers for next year, ahead of 'Transition Day' on Tuesday, where children will meet their new teachers. This will include sharing our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 SATs results with Year 2 and Year 6 parents respectively, which we are absolutely delighted with as a school. The 'national' data for Year 6 has been published and we are pleased that our children have exceeded national figures, once again, despite the disruption of COVID. We know that our children are not judged by exam results alone, and we are incredibly proud of the broad and balanced offer our children get at St Edward's, but we are also proud of how our children thrive academically too.
As we approach the end of term and our finance staff are generating end of year reports, please could parents ensure that any outstanding balances for breakfast and after-school club provision, swimming, nursery or lunch accounts are settled.
There are a number of important notices, including end of year information below, which we ask you to read carefully.
