Weekly Update

Friday, 10th March 2023

Dear Parents/Carers,

Despite it being a wet and gloomy week, I hope you have had a good and enjoyable one! It has been incredibly busy in school. We have had a number of excellent trips and visits, as part of our '25 Experiences', including visits to museums in London and to see theatre productions. A number of children have represented the school at different tournaments and competitions too. We are really proud of the excellent opportunities for personal development our children have at St Edward's and the excellent knowledge they gain to bring back to the classroom too.

Please see below a number of notices for the coming week:

Book Fair

Don't forget to join us for our school Book Fair! This is open today and on Monday from 3:15-3:45 in the school hall.

Industrial Action

Due to ongoing Industrial Action, school is open next week, on Wednesday 15th March and Thursday 16th March, for children in Nursery, Reception and Year 6. Those children who have been deemed 'vulnerable' are also welcome, as with previous closures. Children in Year 5 completing Bikeability are also welcome to attend school on both days.

End of Financial Year

Our Finance Office is busy working towards the end of the financial year. If you have any outstanding invoices, Breakfast Club or After School Club Fees, any trips or swimming contributions that you still need to make, please may we request that these are paid before 21st March so that we can include them in our year end reporting.

Ice Hockey Tickets

In partnership with Raiders Ice Hockey, we have been given a number of tickets for the match taking place on Saturday 18th March at the Sapphire Leisure Centre in Romford. Tickets are available on our ParentPay shop for £4 each, instead of the normal price of £15. The match starts at 5.15pm and more information can be found here: http://raidersicehockey.com/fixtures

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards,

Chris Speller
