Weekly Update

Friday, 22nd April 2022

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you have had a positive first week back. It has been lovely to see the children in school looking so well rested, ready for the summer term. Thank you to parents for supporting us by moving your children into summer uniform. I understand that some parents are waiting for the last few items to arrive, but please do complete the change with your children as soon as possible.

This week we have had a very positive week in school. On Wednesday, children in Years 2 to 5 attended church to celebrate Easter together. The children were excellently behaved and showed our school value of Reverence brilliantly in the way they behaved and participated with our worship.

Yesterday we had a fantastic assembly, led by Whitney from iRock, introducing their new 'band' based music lesson program. This is another excellent opportunity for children, expanding our already large and comprehensive music peripatetic offer.

Please see some notices below:

Uniform

Once you have had a sort out of your winter uniform, if you have any items that will not fit your children next year, we would be really pleased to add them to our second hand uniform stores. All donations can be bought to the school office. Please remember that hair ribbons and clips should be blue and that beads and coloured extensions are not allowed. Children with hair beads or wearing jewellery will be unable to participate in swimming.

Extra-Curricular activities

We are finalizing our school extra-curricular club plan for this term but are very excited to see staff so willingly volunteer their time to run a large number of clubs once again. The list and booking information will come out towards the end of next week, ready to start the week after (week beginning Tuesday 3rd May).

Breakfast and After-School Club Booking

If you would like your child to attend our breakfast or after-school provision, please ensure you book online via ParentPay as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. This is to make sure we adequately staff and cater for all those attending.

Thank you for your ongoing support, I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Kind regards,
Chris Speller
