Weekly Update

Friday, 23rd June 2023

Dear Parents/Carers,

Happy Friday! I hope this email finds you well and that you are using every opportunity to enjoy this beautiful weather.

There has been a real buzz at school this week, Y3 visited Colchester castle, Y6 had their geography walk around Romford and our Nursery children have settled really well in their new spaces. It is amazing to observe the adaptability and excitement our Nursery children and staff have shown during this week.

Year 6 have also begun their secondary school transition day visits, which has really reinforced for our Year 6 children the reality of change from primary to secondary. It has been a very pleasant experience for those who have visited so far, resulting in the children enthusiastically sharing about their new settings but also ensuring the last few weeks and days here at St Edward's Primary are enjoyable and memorable.  We are really happy and proud of all our Year 6 children, as they confidently continue to take strides into the new phase of their educational journey.

In addition to this, we would like to say thank you to all staff and parents/ carers who supported our book fair last week and made it a real success. It is a testament of the commitment we receive from all our families in encouraging reading wider than just our classrooms.

Please see some important news and notices below:
