Weekly Update
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this email finds you well. With just one week of November remaining, we are fast approaching December and the festive season—it’s incredible how quickly time flies! This week has been filled with exciting activities and opportunities for our children, and there’s much more to come.
This week, our children had the fantastic opportunity to meet the Romford Raiders, our local ice hockey team. They thoroughly enjoyed learning about the game and the skills involved. We’re fortunate to have such enriching experiences available locally, and it’s wonderful to introduce our children to the many opportunities within our community.
As the temperatures drop, please ensure that your child comes to school wearing a warm coat (navy blue). School hats and scarves are also available for purchase via ParentPay—please contact the school office for details.
Preparations for our Christmas performances are now in full swing. Rehearsals are buzzing with excitement, and we cannot wait to share these special moments with you. A full schedule of festive activities is attached to this email. Details about tickets for the Early Years and Key Stage 1 Nativities will be shared soon, so please keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for updates.
Important Reminders and Updates
Lost Property Table- TODAY!
Today (after school) we will have Lost Property available outside of the school office. All named items have been returned to classes. Please ensure your child(ren)s clothes are all labelled.
Toddler Group – Wednesdays
Our weekly Toddler Group continues to be a lovely opportunity for families with young children to connect, play, and learn. The group meets every Wednesday at 9:00 AM in the small hall for fun activities, songs, and crafts. No registration is required—just come along! Please do share this with friends and family who might be interested.
Christmas Fete – Volunteers Needed!
Our much-anticipated Christmas Fete is just around the corner, taking place on Saturday, 7th December. It promises to be a fantastic day filled with festive cheer, entertainment, and treats. To make the event a success, we still need volunteers. If you can spare some time, please fill out the volunteer form here: Volunteer Sign-Up.
Breakfast and Afterschool Club Bookings
Please remember to book your child’s spot for Breakfast and After School Club via ParentPay. With the growing popularity of these provisions, it’s essential for us to have accurate numbers for staffing and catering.
School-Run Extra-Curricular Clubs
Next week will be the final week of this term’s school-run extra-curricular clubs. These activities provide wonderful opportunities for our children, and we are immensely grateful to the staff who dedicate their time to make them possible. If you can, please join us in thanking them as you pick up your child.
School Photos
Your child should have brought home the proof of their school photo today. Please ensure orders are placed promptly to avoid any late submission delivery fees.
Thank you for your continued support in making St Edward’s such a vibrant and nurturing place to learn and grow. As always, stay connected with us by visiting our Facebook page and school website for updates and photos showcasing the amazing things happening here.
Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable weekend.
Kind regards,
Chris Speller
