Weekly Update

Friday, 15th October 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

Happy Friday! I hope you have had a positive and enjoyable week. We have had a very busy and highly successful week in school. Our Black History Month 'Who I am' celebrations have continued with visits from singers, dancers and people in industry. Our Chicken and Jollof Rice was hugely popular on Wednesday too. We had a beautiful St Edward's Day Mass on Wednesday, at St Edward's Church and we thank Fr David and Fr Mark for their input during this service. Many people commented on the excellent behaviour of our children and how they showed our value of 'Reverence' excellently.

Half Term Holiday

A reminder that we finish for the half term next THURSDAY at the normal time. Friday is an INSET day, and children do not attend school on this day.  After half term we return on Monday 1st November. Children should return from the Half Term holidays in their winter uniform.

Job Vacancies

We are currently advertising for two job vacancies

If you, or someone you know, would be interested in the roles, please do let them know and use the links above to find out more information.

Covid Safe

This week, we have sadly had two children in the school test positive for COVID. Thankfully, they both remain well. Please continue to be vigilant regarding your child and any symptoms; if they have a temperature, persistent cough or loss of taste/smell, please book them in for a PCR test, the results of which are coming back quickly at the moment. This is very important in order to protect our school community from a wider outbreak, putting other vulnerable children and staff at risk.

School Extra-Curricular Activities

We have been incredibly fortunate to have such a wide range of clubs running this term and we are very grateful to our staff for being so willing to facilitate this opportunity for our children. Clubs continue as normal next week, with the exception of those on Friday (when school is closed).

Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe and look after yourselves.

Kind regards,

Chris Speller
