Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you have all had a fantastic week.
At St Edward’s we have had a memorable fun packed week, especially for those of our Y6 children who have been enjoying our residential week at Carroty Wood. They have been having the most exciting, challenging time including climbing, archery, raft building and enjoying marshmallows and songs around the campfire. These memories will forever bring a smile to your children! We want to say a big thank you to the Y6 team, who also left their families to make this experience possible for your children.
If you have not already done so, do have a look at our Facebook page to see photos of some of the wonderful activities the children have been enjoying both at Carroty Wood and in school this week. Please visit our Facebook page either via Facebook or via the following link: www.facebook.com/stedwardsva
This week we have also had the privilege of Father David, from St Edward’s Church, joining us again to host an exciting and creative assembly, teaching us more about our faith journey.
We were proud to receive our Primary Science Quality Mark ‘Gilt’ Award this week, in recognition of our schools Science education, acknowledging the strength of teaching, learning and leadership in our Science Curriculum.
We are very excited to start our clubs next week. We have such a wide range of activities and are confident that your children will thoroughly benefit from these extra-curricular clubs.
There is still time to sign up for clubs starting the week beginning Monday 27th September, as shared in the school calendar. If you have paid on parent pay already, this is confirmation of your place. As a reminder, the dates for the clubs are as follows:

As a school we are so grateful for your ongoing support, encouragement, prayers and good wishes. Have a blessed and relaxing weekend. Stay safe and enjoy time with those you love.
